Chapter meetings
Booksignings
All MCRW Chapter Meetings are on the third Saturday of each month at Legacy
Crossing Retirement Community in Franklin, TN. Unless otherwise noted, all meetings are from 10:00 a.m.
until noon followed by a group luncheon at a local eatery.
MCRW Member Booksignings and other appearances are not at set times but will
be listed here if possible. To see our current list,

Want to try a chapter meeting before you buy? Guests are welcome to attend two meetings
before being asked to join. Membership in Romance
Writers of America is required to be an MCRW member because we are an RWA®-affiliated chapter. Guests are always welcome at MCRW special events and programs,
which will be indicated on the schedule. For specific directions to the meeting place,
email any of MCRW's board members and let us know to
expect you!
Chapter Meetings
September 2008: MCRW member and
published author Cheryl Zach who writes as Nicole Byrd will be presenting a
workshop entitled Symbiosis of
Character and Conflict. In plain English, how past traumas or other
incident that have affected characters can be used to deepen plot and develop
character and introduce new level to books.
- We will be electing the Board for the 2008-2010 term, and we require a
quorum of members in order to make the new board official.
October 2008: TBD. This will be the last meeting helmed by the
current Board.
November 2008: TBD.
- This will be the first meeting helmed by the new Board! Please
come out and show your support, particularly if you happen to be ON the new
Board :).
December 2008: Holiday party and career accomplishment
celebration.
- We typically hold a book swap and Legacy Crossing book donation at this
meeting.
Though several upcoming meetings are TBD, please be assured we do have many
delightful treats in store for MCRW members and guests.
January 2009: TBD.
MCRW Booksignings & Appearances:
September 3: MCRW member JT Ellison is planning the LAUNCH PARTY and
release of her 2nd book, 14. She would love to have you join in the festivities
-- Wednesday, September 3, 7-10 p.m. at Past Perfect Restaurant. Please send an
RSVP email to jtellison@jtellison.com
so you can be added to the invite list. There will be music by Richard
Stooksbury and the Glaring Mistakes, a silent auction of a very special prize to
benefit Book 'Em, a wine-tasting and food, and an as yet undetermined piece of
swag for posterity.
September 4: JT Ellison will follow up her launch party with
a booksigning at Davis Kidd in Nashville on Thursday, September 4, at 6 pm.

September 22: Author Annie Solomon will be speaking to
Nashville Writers Meetup at Borders, West End, Monday, September
22 at 6:30 pm.
September 26: Shannon Dauphin is signing at 10:30 AM, at the
Renaissance Center Virtually Unlimited Bookstore -- Renaissance Center,
Dickson, TN. Further information:

October 18: Author Shannon Dauphin will
be signing from 11 am until 2 pm at the Volume One Book Shop in
Dickson, TN. October 31: Author Kimberly Adkins will
be at Anne Rice's Vampire Ball in New Orleans. November 2:
Author Kimberly Adkins will be signing books and reading at 7 PM
at the Boutique Du Vampyre, in the French Quarter (behind the
St. Louis Cathedral). The event begins at 6 PM with a wine
tasting followed by the 7 PM reading.
November 8: Group MCRW booksigning at
Sherlock's Books
in Lebanon, TN, from 1-5 pm CST.
November 15: Shannon Dauphin is signing at 10 AM, at the Town Crier Gift Shop and Bookstore -- Centerville, TN.
