(Read a second interview with
Trish.) Q. Are you a native of Nashville or somewhere else?
A. Milan, TN
Q. If somewhere else, where, and how did you end up here?
A. I found MCRW through Page, actually, who suggested that we
give your group a try. I still live too far away to make as many meetings as
I'd like.
Q. Are you married and do you have children or pets?
A. I've been married for 16 years. We have 2 children (ages 12
and 9), 2 cats, 4 dogs and 4 fish.
Q. Have a day job? Tell us about it?
A. I work part-time as a dental hygienist. It's not a bad job,
but not what I want to be doing when I'm 60. :-)
Q. What do you like do to when you’re not working?
A. Surf the 'net, cross-stitch, read, sleep...
Q. Other than romance, what genres do you read?
A. Sci-fi, mystery, thriller/suspense.
Q. Describe your favorite vacation spot?
A. Quiet and without the pressure to be constantly busy.
Q. How long have you been writing?
A. Too long to admit, considering that I've made so little
progress. Around 10 years, I think.
Q. What are you working on now?
A. A romantic suspense, amnesia story.
Q. How much progress have you made toward publication?
A. Gee, can you get published if you don't submit?
Q. Who are your favorite romance writers?
A. Nora Roberts, Susan Mallery, Jennifer Crusie, Heather Graham,
Allison Brennan, Erica Spindler, JoAnn Ross, Brenda Novak, Dinah McCall/Sharon
Sala--I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of right now.
Q. What other genres do you read and who are your favorite authors in those?
A. Sci-fi: Anne McCaffrey, Katherine Kurtz; Mystery: Carolyn
Hart, Jan Burke, J. A. Jance, John Sandford, Elizabeth George
Q. Describe the book of your heart.
A. Danger, murder and love in one gorgeously bound package.
